Sony Xperia XZ Unboxing

Sony launched its flagship Xperia XZ smartphone in India today priced at Rs. 51990 (MRP), here we have the unboxing of the smartphone.

Even though the box we have came only with the phone and USB Type-C cable, the retail unit will also come with Quick Charger UCH12 in the box.

The Xperia XZ comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p Triluminos Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor and has 3GB of RAM. It has IP65/IP68 ratings for water resistance

It has a 13-megapixel camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture, Exmor RS sensor and 22mm wide-angle lens. It has a fingerprint sensor on the power button.

Sony is launching the dual SIM version in India that comes with hybrid dual SIM slot that lets you use the second nano SIM slot as a microSD expansion slot (up to 256GB) when required. There is a rubber gaskets to aid in the IP65 water resistance.

It has a 23-megapixel camera on the back with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Laser autofocus, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording and Predictive Hybrid AF that lets you choose your subject and then it predicts its motion, so you can capture the action in perfect focus, free from blur.

There is a 3.5mm audio jack and a secondary microphone on the top.

The USB Type-C port and a secondary microphone are present on the bottom. A plastic strip at the bottom assists antenna performance.

It has 4G VoLTE support and a 2900mAh built-in Battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology. It has a polycarbonate frame and a unique new ALKALEIDO metal on the back panel that gives it a sheen and an added illusion of depth. In addition to Platinum color we have here, it also comes in Forest Blue and Mineral Black colors.

The Xperia XZ comes at a best buy price or MOP of Rs. 49,990 and will be available from October 10th, while you can pre-book it through Sony Center, select retail outlets and online exclusively on Amazon.in from 1st October. Sony is also offering a SmartBand Talk – SWR30 worth Rs. 8,990 free for all pre-bookings.
