Google finally announced Chromecast Ultra, its first Chromecast device with support for 4K Ultra HD and High Dynamic Range (HDR). It also has faster dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac support and is currently the fastest Chromecast yet. We got some hands-on time with the device. Check out the video below.
On the front it has a large Google’s “G” logo and is a big larger than the 2nd Generation Chromecast, measuring 58.20 x 13.70 x 58.20 mm and weighs 47 grams.
It has a power button and a HDMI cable that plugs directly into the TV. It also comes with a Power adapter with Ethernet port for those who don’t want to use WiFi.
It has a micro USB power on the bottom and comes with a 2m long cable with the adapter. Chromecast Ultra automatically optimizes your TV’s picture even if your TV isn’t 4K-ready, says Google.
Google Chromecast Ultra will be available in November for $69 (Rs. 4595 approx.) from the Best Buy, Google Store, Target, and Walmart in the U.S., as well as from international retailers in 15 more countries.
