Qualcomm Snapdragon 653, 626 and 427 SoCs with X9 LTE modem, Quick Charge 3.0 support announced

Qualcomm just announced Snapdragon 653, 626 and 427 SoCs at the Qualcomm 2016 4G/5G Summit in Hong Kong. The Snapdragon 653 is the successor of Snapdragon 652 offering 10% improved performance compared to the predecessor, Snapdragon 626 is the successor of Snapdragon 625, offering 10% improved performance compared to the predecessor and the Snapdragon 427 is new processor in the 400 series, which is an upgrade to Snapdragon 425. All these have Integrated Snapdragon X9 LTE modem for 50% faster upload speeds than the X8 LTE, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology and Dual camera support.

Snapdragon 653 has support for up to 8GB RAM. Both the Snapdragon 626 and 427 have Qualcomm TruSignal antenna boost to improve signal reception in congested areas, making voice and data connections reliable and with superior quality.

The Snapdragon 653 and 626 processors are expected to be available later this year, and devices featuring the Snapdragon 427 are expected to be available sometime in early 2017.
