Earlier in August, Instagram rolled out Stories that allows users to share photos and videos that lasts for 24 hours before disappearing. Now, Instagram is putting Stories front and center with a new update.
With an aim to make it easier for users to discover new stories, Instagram has added Stories to the Explore Tab. Stories will appear on top of the page and similar to Explore tab, Stories will be personalized based on your interests. Instagram said more than 100 million people visit Explore everyday to discover photos and videos from people they don’t yet follow.
Instagram Stories competes directly with Snapchat and with the latest update it looks like the Facebook owned photo editing app is banking on Stories.
