Uber has launched its operations in Lucknow, its first city in Uttar Pradesh. The US based taxi hailing service is now present in total of 29 cities in India more than any other countries outside of United States (by number of operational cities).
Uber has expanded to new city an year after it started operations in Nashik, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Vadodara in August 2015. It also expanded to 7 new cities, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Indore, Mysore, Nagpur, Surat and Vizag last year and is now present in Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Kolkata and Kochi in India.
