Android Nougat update, DayDream support now rolling out for Moto Z Droid and Z Droid Force on Verizon

Some Moto Z Droid and Z Droid Force owners have started receiving OTA update for Android 7.0 Nougat. Both the phones were shipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow back in July.

The update brings Nougat features like split screen mode, quick app switching, quick setting customization, data saver mode and so on. In addition to Android Nougat update, Z Droid and Z Droid Force are also getting DayDream support. These are the first Motorola handsets to get Android Nougat in the US. At present, only Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones support DayDream. Finally, the update also includes the November 1, 2016 security patch.

It must be noted that Verizon who is the exclusive carrier for the two phones has not announced the roll out officially. You can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > System updates > Check for system update.
