Droid 2 running Froyo

We saw a lot of shots of the upcoming Motorola Droid 2, which is going to hit Verizon, probably next month. Droid 2 is the successor to the old, but popular Motorola Droid, which is known as the one of the most sold Android devices ever. We saw the Droid 2 in theVerizon Summer catalog, in which we assumed that the Droid 2 will be out this summer. Later, we saw the photos of the Droid 2 hidden in the Droid Does website. 

The launch of the Droid 2 is around the corner. An image was leaked yesterday over at Engadget, in which we can see (image above) the retail package of the Droid 2 is getting printed, and its rumored that Verizon will be launching the Droid 2 on 23rd August, which is only a month away.

Today is another day, and another image of the Droid 2 is leaked, and this one is the most interesting, because everyone was waiting to hear it that ” Is the Droid 2 is coming with Android 2.2?And the answer is Yes! because the image above prove it that the Droid 2 is running the latest Android build, which is Android 2.2 aka Froyo.

So it means that the rumor we heard that the Droid 2 will ship with Android 2.2 is true. The device is running the same user interface skin we saw on Droid X.
