Periscope has updated its Android app with a couple of new features. The update which bumps the app to version 1.8.1 brings app shortcuts and new broadcasting options.
With the latest update, users who are running Android 7.1 on their phone will be able to see new app shortcuts by simply long pressing Periscope app icon. You will see shortcuts for Go Live, Teleport, or Search with one tap. Next up, is a new braodcasting feature that lets you send an invitation to your viewers to follow you or share your broadcast, right from the broadcaster actions menu.
