LG offering full refund for faulty Nexus 5X units facing boot loop issues

In latest news, LG’s US subsidiary has started offering refunds to Nexus 5X users if they are experiencing boot loops on their device. Instead of fixing or replacing the device, the company is offering a full refund, as it doesn’t have the necessary parts to replace them with.

The company claims that it has run out of the stock needed to repair the smartphone’s constant boot loop. It’s worth mentioning that Google has stopped selling the Nexus 5X when it launched the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

The Nexus 5X boot loop issue was initially reported in September when the device got the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Moreover, the company has sent an email to the buyers saying:

Thank you for choosing LG Electronics for your mobile device! We recognize that you have numerous options when selecting a mobile device and it is our priority to provide you with the highest quality products and service.

We’re sorry to hear that you’ve experienced a problem with your LGH790 and appreciate you giving us the opportunity to provide a warranty repair. We have received your device at our repair facility but currently a part to complete the repair is out of stock and is no longer available.

To rectify this issue, we would like to offer you a refund for the full amount of your device. That amount will be determined by your sales receipt. Your refund can take approximately 4 weeks to receive due to the holiday.
