Samsung is really a sucker when it comes to managing secrets. After a not-so-good 2016, the South Korean giant is coming up with Galaxy S8 in 2017, as the leaks and speculations are surging in. As per the recent report, Samsung will launch the handset at a dedicated event in New York in April, instead of MWC 2017.
During the conference, Koh Dong-jin, President of Samsung Mobile, said that his company needs some time to regain customers trust in the Samsung’s brand, which is why the launch event has been postponed to April.
He also mentioned about the significance of keeping the details about the Galaxy S8 inside the company and not leaking any details about it outside, ahead of its flagship launch.
Talking about specifications, the purported Galaxy S8 will come in two variants 6.2-inch and 5.7-inch display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, and Exynos processor. With this smartphone, Samsung is expected to adopt an upgraded digital assistant that will use voice command to finish the task given by the user.
In fact, the South Korean tech acquired U.S.-based artificial-intelligence software company Viv Labs Inc. in October. The Galaxy S8 might be the first smartphone to feature optical fingerprint recognition technology, which could be placed on the back instead of integrating into the home button.
