How to get Android 7.0 Nougat on Moto G4 Plus

Motorola launched Moto G4 Plus smartphone back in May this year starting at Rs. 13,499 on Amazon.in. The Moto G4 Plus smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen 3 protection, powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 SoC, 13MP/5MP camera package and run Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) out of the box.

Further, the Moto G4 Plus is juiced with 3000mAh battery with support for Turbo Charging that will offer 6 hours of usage with 15 minutes of charging.

While the company has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Moto Z series, we don’t have any official information about the Nougat update Moto G4 Plus smartphone, since it is only running soak tests for the phone in the country. For those who can’t wait for the official update to roll out, feel free to manually flash the device.

Today, we have shared a simple guide to flash Android 7.0 Nougat ROM on your Moto G4 Plus smartphone.

Requirements

  • Android Nougat ROM file
  • Moto G4 Plus with more than 50% charge

Steps to flash Android Nougat on your Moto G4 Plus

Step 1: Download the Android Nougat ROM file for Moto G4 Plus to your PC from here
Step 2: Copy the file and paste it in the root folder (Internal storage) of your phone
Step 3: Now turn off your phone
Step 4: Take your phone to bootloader screen by holding Volume Down + Power button
Step 5: Select ‘Recovery’ option by navigating through volume rocker buttons
Step 6: Once you see Android bot image, hold power button +Volume Up
Step 7: Select ” Apply update from SD card (Internal storage)”
Step 8: Choose the ROM file
Step 9: Once the installation is done, reboot your device and enjoy.
