Samsung Chromebook Plus, Chromebook Pro announced

Samsung has announced Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus at CES 2017. The new Samsung Chromebooks also offer a 360-degree rotating touchscreen, quad HD screen, built-in digitized pen and new lightweight metal design.

The Chromebooks sport an all metal design that offers it a premium look. The pen is ready to use out of the box with pre-installed Google Keep for notetaking and Samsung ArtCanvas for drawing. The newly developed pen has a 0.7mm pen tip and pressure sensitivity for precise screen capturing. The Chromebooks will come pre-installed with Google Play Chrome, work in Google Drive and chat easily with friends on Google Hangouts.

Both the Chromebooks sport 12.3″ 2400×1600 LED Display (3:2 aspect ratio) with Touch Screen Panel and have 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Chromebook Plus is powered by OP1, Made for Chromebooks. Hexa-core (Dual A72, Quad A53) while the Chromebook Pro is powered by Intel Core M3 Processor 6Y30 (0.90 GHz up to 2.20 GHz, 4 MB L3 Cache). There are 2 USB Type-C ports which support charging and 4K video output, a MicroSD Card Reader. Both the Chromebook measure 11.06″ x 8.72″ x 0.51″ ~ 0.55″ and weigh 1.08kg. Samsung claims 8 hours of battery life for the Chromebooks.

The Chromebook Plus will be available starting this February for $449
