LG introduces new Gram ultra-lightweight laptops with 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor, built-in fingerprint reader

LG has refreshed its Gram ultra-lightweight and ultra-slim laptop lineup for 2017 at the CES 2017. It comes in 13.3-inch and 14.0-inch models that weigh just 940 grams and the 15.6-inch model weighs just 1,090 grams. All these have 7th generation Intel Core i7 processors, up to 512GB SSD and up to 16GB DDR4 Dual Channel Memory.

These have built in finger print readers to take advantage of Windows Hello, have near-edgeless touchscreen that’s useful for using Windows Ink to make notes and annotate directly on webpages in Microsoft Edge.

The 15.6-inch LG Gram comes with a Thunderbolt port, as well as additional USB Type-C ports which allow simultaneous video signal, data transfer, and charging via a single cable. All these have a backlit keyboard.

On the 13.3-inch and 14.0-inch LG Gram laptops, you can use Daylight Mode, which enhances screen brightness so that it is viewable even under bright sunlight. These models feature a 60W battery, which is said to be the highest capacity in the industry to-date.

The LG Gram laptops come in available in three premium metallic colors, dark silver, shiny white and metal rose colors. LG said that pricing and availability will be announced at a later date. LG will showcase these LG Gram laptops at the CES 2017 starting today, January 5th.
