Sony confirmed Android 7.0 (Nougat) update for a range of smartphones, including the Xperia X series, Z5 series and more last year. Android Nougat update started rolling out for Sony Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ smartphones in November last year, last month Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact smartphones got the update, now the update is rolling out for Sony Xperia Z series phones starting from Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium.
The update brings new Android 7.0 features such as multi window support, long battery life, improved messaging app, smart home screen, new notification panel and more. Sony has also added new self-timer button to the front camera interface. Finally there is STAMINA mode with three new power saving levels to choose from.
The Nougat update for the Sony Xperia Z5 series has build number 32.3.A.0.372 and is gradually rolling out for users and is expected to roll out soon globally.
