Nokia 6 sold out in under a minute in first sale in China

HMD Global introduced the Nokia 6 smartphone exclusively for China earlier this month. Last week jd.com has started taking pre-orders for the smartphone for today’s sale. In the first flash sale the smartphone sold out in under a minute, according to reports from China. Earlier this week registrations crossed a million, so it is not surprising.

The Nokia 6 packs a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), 1.0um sensor, dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

It has dual speakers, one on the top and other on the bottom, smart dual amplifier chips (TFA9891) offering 6dB louder sound and Dolby Atmos. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the home button and aluminum alloy unibody design. It packs a 3000mAh built-in battery.

The Nokia 6 comes in Black color and costs 1699 yuan (US$ 245 / Rs. 16,740 approx.). It is not clear when it will be back in stock on jd.com. Nokia 6 will not be launched outside China, but Nokia has promised to introduce new smartphones for global markets at the MWC 2017 next month at an event on February 26th.
