Asus had announced the ZenBook 3 in May last year at Computex 2016 in Taiwan following which it was launched in India in November. It is available in the country starting at Rs. 1,13,990. We have got our hands on the notebook, so let’s check out the hardware and other specs in this photo gallery.
First thing you will notice about the ZenBook 3 is its ultra-sleek 11.9mm chassis crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy that gives it a premium look. The device is sleek and weighs just 910 grams with battery. It sports a 12.5″ (1920×1080 pixels) IPS 16:9 LED backlit 60Hz Glare Panel with 72% NTSC color gamut, 82% screen-to-body ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
The notebook is powered by Intel Core i7 7500U / Core i5-7200U Processor with Integrated Intel HD Graphics and comes with 8GB / 16GB of 2133MHz RAM, 512GB PCIe Gen 3 x4 SSD.
The notebook has an attractive gold-colored ring around the diamond-cut edge. We have the royal blue color that looks rich and has a nice texture to it.
It has a full-size backlit keyboard with 19.8mm key pitch and the keys are also blue in color. There is a glass-covered precision touchpad that comes with palm-rejection technology, Smart Gestures, and handwriting support.
The touchpad has a built-in fingerprint reader on top right that comes with Windows Hello.
The device has a 3.5mm audio headphone jack on the top left.
It has a single USB Type-C port for both charging and data.
The Asus branding is present at the center of the top lid in golden color. It runs Windows 10 Home. There is a VGA Web Camera for video calling. The notebook comes with built-in speakers (In collaboration with Harmon Kardon), Built-in array microphone, ASUS SonicMaster Premium Technology. Connectivity options on the notebook include WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C.
It comes with 6-Cell 40 Whrs Polymer Battery with up to 9 hours of battery life, fast charging lets you charge up to 60% capacity in just 49 minutes.
The Asus ZenBook 3 (UX390UA) comes in Royal Blue, Rose Gold and Quartz Gray colors and is priced at Rs. 1,13,990 for the Intel Core i5 variant with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD, Rs. 1,23,990 for the Intel Core i7 variant with similar RAM and storage and the Intel Core i7 variant with 16GB RAM costs Rs. 1,47,990.
