Vodafone launched its 4G LTE services in Tamil Nadu back in December last year starting from Coimbatore and Tiruppur. At that time is said that it will roll out 4G services in all major towns and cities across the state by March 2017. Today it has sent out invites for the launch of 4G services in Chennai. S Murali , Business Head- Tamil Nadu, Vodafone India and Chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand will be present.
Vodafone started offering 4G-ready SIMs in the state back in November last year and said that as a limited period offer, users who upgrades SIM will also get 2GB data free.
Vodafone 4G is already available in Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Bongaigaon, Guwahati and Dibrugarh in Assam, Aizawl in Mizoram, Kohima in Nagaland and Shillong in Meghalaya.
Vodafone already said that its 4G coverage will be available in 2400 towns across 17 circles in the country by March 2017.
