Vernee Apollo 2 world’s first Helio X30 powered phone with 8GB RAM to be announced at MWC 2017

Vernee, a Chinese company introduced its flagship Apollo smartphone last year, now it is gearing up to introduce its successor Apollo 2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in Barcelona later this month. It has released a teaser of the smartphone that looks similar to the OnePlus 3 from the front. It also said that this will be the world’s first Helio X30 powered smartphone.

It will come in two variants, one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and the other one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The teaser image shows a smartphone with a unibody metal design.

The Helio X30 10nm Deca-Core SoC that was introduced back in September last year has up to 2.8GHz 2x Cortex-A73 CPUs, 4x 2.2GHz Cortex-A53 CPUs and 2GHz 4x Cortex-A35 CPUs. It has 820MHz IMG 7XTP-Mt4 GPU and supports eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1 storage.

We don’t have complete specifications of the Vernee Apollo 2 yet, but it is expected to come with a fingerprint sensor on the front and it could run Android 7.0 Nougat. The company will also introduce Mars Pro with Helio P25 SoC, 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, unibody metal design and a display with ultra slim bezels.

It will also unveil Thor E 8.2mm slim phone with a 5020mAh battery, unibody metal design and a fingerprint sensor on the back.

The Thor Plus will pack a 6050mAh battery in a slim 7.9mm body.
