Xiaomi Mi Max 2 specs surface – Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB RAM and 5000mAh battery

In a recent development, the Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is reportedly working on the successor of its first generation Mi Max phablet. If the rumor turns out to be true, this phablet might be powered by a yet-to-be-launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset

Just like Mi Max, the second iteration is expected to sport a 6.44-inch display. While, the last year Mi Max came in two variants, we might see two variants on the so-called Mi Max 2 as well.

Giving an headsup about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, it could use Kryo cores similar to the Snapdragon 835 or it might actually have quad ARM Cortex A73 CPUs clocked at 2.2GHz and quad ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.9GHz and will be an upgrade to the current Snapdragon 652 and Snapdragon 653 SoCs that have quad ARM Cortex A72 CPUs and quad ARM Cortex A53 CPUs.

This is said to come with Adreno 512 GPU, use Samsung’s 14nm process, UFS 2.1 storage and 2 x LPDDR4 RAM at 1866 MHz. It is rumored to support up to 24MP camera, Cat 10 modem and up to Quad High Definition (2560×1600) displays.
