Airtel launched 4G LTE services in Jammu & Kashmir across 25 towns/locations across the Jammu region earlier this month. Today it has announced that Airtel 4G is now available in 61 towns across Jammu & Kashmir (22 towns in Kashmir and 39 towns in Jammu). Airtel 4G has been rolled out in Jammu & Kashmir using FD LTE technology in the 1800 MHz band. It already said that it plans to expand its 4G footprint to over 100 towns across the state.
In Kashmir Airtel 4G is available in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Achhabal, Badgam, Boniyar, Khansahib, Lar, Lasjan, Lethpora, Mattan, Rafiabad, Shangus, Trehgam, Veesu, Verinag, Pattan, Awantipora, Bijbehara, Sonawari, Chadura and Pampora.
In Jammu Airtel 4G is available in Batote, Bhimber Gali, Langdale, Manwal, Mendhar, Nowshehra, R.S Pura, Ram Nagar, Surankote, Thathi, Vijay Pur, Doda, Banihal. Jammu, Akhnoor, Nagrota, Kathua, Katra, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Rehambal, Bari Brahamana, Billawar, Ghomanhasan, Miran Sahib, Misriwala, Raipur Domana, Bashohli, Hiranagar, Rajauri, Sunderbani, Thanamandi, Jyotipuram, Talwara, Badlirakh, Garnai and Vaishno Devi.
Customers who have a smartphone with 4G support can upgrade to a 4G SIM at their nearest Airtel retail touch points in the city or visit airtel.in/4g to request for a 4G SIM swap. Airtel’s 4G services are currently available in 22 circles across India.
