Google Photos gets video stabilization feature in latest update

Google has updated Google Photos with a new feature that will stabilize shaky videos. The latest update that bumps the app to version 2.13 bring video stabilization feature.

You can access video stabilization in the Videos tab from the Albums page. A new “Stabilize” option is seen next to the “Rotate” button if you tap on a video and hit the edit icon. Tapping it will process your video to make it less shaky. A progress bar shows you how stabilization is progressing and when it’s finished, the “Stabilize” button turns blue.

Stabilization has only been implemented on Photos for Android. It’s unknown if Google has plans to push it to iOS. Google has been updating Photos from time to time with new features improved photo sharing, animations from videos, theme based movies and more.
