Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tipped to feature 6.4-inch display and dual cameras

Samsung will include a dual camera setup to its next flagship Galaxy Note 8 similar to the iPhone 7+, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. Kuo says the dual rear camera on the Note 8 could be the most significant design difference from the S8 and larger Galaxy S8 Plus.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will feature a dual-camera setup with a 12 MP wide-angle CIS supporting dual photodiodes, along with a 13 MP telephoto CIS, plus dual 6P lenses, dual OIS and six-element lenses. Kuo further claimed that the “Note 8’s dual-camera will be much better than that of iPhone 7 Plus, and likely match that of OLED iPhone.” Kuo says Samsung will continue its big screen obsession with a massive new 6.4-inch OLED display matching the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus and sharing their native QHD+ (1440 x 2960) resolution. It will also match these phones with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 chipset, varying by region.

The latest report comes just days after Samsung Galaxy S8+ variant with dual rear cameras, on-screen fingerprint sensor surfaced. The Galaxy Note 8 will be Samsung’s first “Note” phone since the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. All major flagships like iPhone 7Plus, LG G6, Xiaomi Mi 6 and Huawei P10 sport dual camera
