Samsung launched Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India yesterday for Rs. 57900 and Rs. 64900, respectively. We already brought you the unboxing of the Galaxy S8, here we have the benchmarks. The Samsung Galaxy S8 that has launched in India is powered by an Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor that has four of the company’s 2nd generation custom designed CPU cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz per core and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 1.7GHz per core. It uses big.LITTLE architecture similar to earlier Samsung’s high-end SoCs. It has 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and packs a Mali-G71 MP20 GPU.
It is also the first Samsung SoC in the premium line-up to include gigabit LTE modem that supports five carrier aggregation, or 5CA. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores. Also check out the gaming review.

It managed to score 3414 points in the Vellamo 3.1 Metal CPU subsystem performance test.

It scored 3567 points in the Vellamo 3.1 Multicore benchmark.
Geekbench 3 Single-Core
It scored 1918 points in the Geekbench 3 Single-Core benchmark.
Geekbench 3 Multi-Core
It scored 7305 points in the Geekbench 3 Multi-Core benchmark and topped the chart.
GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
It clocked 3344 frames or 60 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex OnScreen GPU benchmark.
GFXBench 3.0 Manhattan (On screen)
It clocked 2620 frames or 42 fps in the GFXBench 3.0 Manhattan OnScreen GPU benchmark.
3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited
It managed to score 28824 points in the 3D Mark Ice Storm Unlimited benchmark.
Basemark X 1.1
It scored 44026 points in the Basemark X 1.1 benchmark and topped the chart.
Basemark OS II
It topped the Basemark OS II benchmark by scoring 3309 points. These are just synthetic benchmark scores. We will let you know about the real life performance in the complete review soon.
