Jelly is the world’s smallest 4G Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone

At a time where we are seeing smartphones with larger displays and almost bezel less designs, a new smartphone with display size as small as 2.45 inches is now a reality. Dubbed as Jelly, the smartphone has made its way to KickStarter.

Jelly runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is being called as ‘world’s smallest’ 4G smartphone. The phone which can easily fit in your palm is also small enough to fit into the coin pocket in a pair of jeans. Manufactured by Shanghai firm Unihertz, Jelly measures 92.3 x 43 x 13.3 mm.

There are two models of the phone – Jelly and Jelly Pro. Both the phones are powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor. The Jelly comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory while the Jelly Pro has a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. Both the phones sport 2MP front-facing and 8MP rear cameras and dual nano SIM card slots. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4GHz/5Ghz WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, G-Sensor, Compass and Gyroscope. They come with a 950mAh battery that is claimed to be enough for  is rated for three days of ‘working time’ and seven days standby.

Jelly has full access to the Google Play Store, comes in three colors – pearl white, space black, or sky blue. The early-bird pricing for the device through the Kickstarter campaign is $59 for the base model and $75 for the Pro.
