HTC unveiled its flagship U11 smartphone at an event in Taiwan yesterday. We already brought you the hands-on impressions and the photo gallery of the phone. Here we have the unboxing of the phone.

The HTC U11 comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MobilePlatform and 4GB / 6GB of RAM, it runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with HTC Sense UI along with HTC Edge Sense. On the front there is a 16MP front-facing camera.
It has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button and also has capacitive touch buttons on either sides that are backlit.
As you might have seen in the unboxing video, it has Edge Sense technology that uses Edge Sensor that offers squeeze interaction to launch the camera, send text messages, open email or customize it to launch any application. It also lets you activate advanced touch and use a “short squeeze” as well as a “squeeze and hold” for even more functionality. Since Edge Sense is based on actual pressure applied to the side of the device, it can be used in nearly any condition – including while wearing gloves or in weather such as snow or rain.
On the back 12MP UltraPixel 3 rear camera with 1.4μm pixel, dual LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, OIS, UltraSpeed Autofocus, RAW capture and 4K video recording with 3D Audio, Hi-Res stereo recording, and Acoustic Focus. It also has 120fps slow mo video recording at 1080p.
It has a glass back, which HTC is calling liquid glass surface that is crafted using Optical Spectrum Hybrid Deposition. It is also dust and water-resistant with IP67 ratings and packs a 3000mAh battery. We have the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage Dual SIM version here, but India will get the 6GB RAM with 128GB.
In addition to the Amazing Silver color, it also comes in Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red colors. It is already available for pre-order in several countries at €749 (Rs. 52,895 approx.) / £649 (Rs. 53760 approx.) and ships from June 1st.
