YouTube is now making it easier for everyone to start live-streaming on mobile devices. At the Google I/O developer conference 2017, YouTube announced that it has removed the limitation of having more than 10,000 subscribers in order to live stream from mobile devices.
Earlier in February, YouTube opened mobile live streaming to all content creators with more than 10,000 subscribers. This limit was then reduced to 1,000 subscribers and now there will be no limit at all. Now anyone with a verified channel and no live stream restrictions in the last 90 days can Go Live without via their smartphone. Android Police report notes that if you have a verified account, a the new ‘Go Live’ option will surface when you tap the video icon.
The feature is not available for everyone yet and will likely roll out in coming days.
