Instagram is out with another update, however this one is for the Direct message. The Facebook owned photo and video sharing site has rolled out support for sending links in direct messages and sharing photos in landscape orientation.
You can now send photos without cropping the as Instagram has added support for landscape and portrait mode in Direct Message. Prior to this update, you could not send a photo or video in its original orientation. With the latest update you can now share and preview website links right in their DM thread. In addition to link, you can and links for phone numbers and addresses.
Landscape and portrait uploads in Direct are rolling out on iOS and will soon come to Android. Meanwhile, links in Direct messages are available on both Android and iOS as part of Instagram version 10.22.
Instagram has been updating its main app and adding new features to Instagram Stories. It looks like it is now focusing in Direct message as well.
