Apple unveiled updated lineup of MacBook and MacBook Pros with 7th- generation Intel Kaby Lake processors last week . Let’s take a quick look at the Macbook Pro’s hardware and specifications of the new line up.
In terms of design of the MacBook Pro, nothing major has changed but now the 13-inch and 15-inch versions of the new MacBook Pro are 17% and 14% thinner than their predecessors, respectively. The 13-inch model weighs 1.37 kg and is 14.9 mm thin while the 15-inch model weighs 1.83 kg and is 15.5 mm thin. The MacBook now support up to 1.3 GHz Core i7 with Turbo Boost up to 3.6 GHz and up to 50 percent faster SSD, and supports up to twice the memory.
It features the Touch Bar — a Multi-Touch–enabled strip of glass built into the keyboard for instant access to the tools. The Touch Bar replaces the function keys that have long occupied the top of your keyboard. Moreover, the Touch ID is available on a Mac, enabling instant access to logins.
Display on the new MacBook Pro supports wide colour for even more vibrant greens and reds than with sRGB. It features P3 colour, which makes 25 per cent more colours available than standard RGB.
The 13 inch model is powered by a 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz, with 64MB of eDRAM while the 15-inch model is powered by 3.1GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz, with 64MB of eDRAM. Both the the 13-inch and 15‑inch models offer all-day battery life — up to 10 hours.
