Apple unveiled the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and new 12.9-inch iPad Pro at the WWDC 2017 last week. We went hands on with the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro with narrow bezels that reduces the borders by nearly 40% to fit into a compact package and weighs 469 grams. Check out the video below.
The new iPad Pro has a 10.5-inch (2224 x 1668 pixels) Fully laminated True Tone Retina Display with 600 nits brightness and refresh rates of up to 120Hz. It is powered by new Apple’s A10X Fusion chip that promises 30% faster CPU speed and 40% faster GPU speed compared to previous generation iPad Pro models.
It has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and four speakers for audio. On the front there is also an improved 7MP HD camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording
It has a 12MP iSight camera with True Tone flash, ƒ/1.8 aperture, Optical image stabilization, 4K video recording and 1080p slo-mo at 120 fps.
It also comes in 4G LTE version, has dual-band 802.11ac Wi‑Fi, HT80 with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2 and is just 6.1 mm thick. It packs a 30.4‐watt‐hour rechargeable lithium‑polymer battery with up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video or listening to music. Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard will be available for purchase separately.
It comes in Space Gray, Rose Gold, Gold and Silver colors, starts at $649 and is already available in the US and several countries. It will be available in India later this month starting at Rs. 52,900 for the base 64GB WiFi version and goes up to Rs. 87,900 for the 512GB WiFi + Cellular version.
