Xiaomi today launched the Mi Max 2 smartphone in India. We have already unboxed the phone and now let’s take a detailed look at hardware and specs of the phone in this photo gallery.
The Mi Max 2 sports a 6.44-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with 0.7mm ultra narrow bezel on the side and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Mobile platform, it has 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with MIUI 8.
There is a 5MP front facing camera, earpiece and ambient light and proximity sensor at the front.
There are three capacitive touch buttons on the bezel below the display. These keys are backlit and offer haptic feedback when pressed.
The right side houses power button and volume rockers. The phone measures 174.1×88.7×7.6mm and weighs 211 grams.
There is Hybrid dual SIM slot is on the left.
It has stereo speakers on the bottom along with USB Type-C port.
On the top there is an IR blaster, secondary microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It has a 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, Sony IMX386 sensor with 1.25μm pixel size. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The antenna lines have been moved to the top and bottom parts of the phone. It has a unibody metal design. The Mi branding is present at the lower back. It has a 5300mAh (typical) / 5200mAh (minimum) battery with Quick Charge 3.0 along with parallel charging.
Even though we have the Golden colored version, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes in Matte Black color in India and is priced at Rs. 16,999. It will be available from Mi.com and Mi Home during Mi 3rd anniversary sale on July 20 and 21st at 12PM. It also comes with up to 100GB 4G data for Reliance Jio customers at 10GB data per recharge for 10 recharges.
