Xiaomi Mi 5X official press shots show its design, gets certified by the FCC

Xiaomi is all set to introduce its new Mi 5X smartphone next week. Few images of the phone surfaced yesterday, now the company’s marketing director Zang Zhiyuan has shared more images of the phone that shows similar design as the OPPO R11 or the OnePlus 5 that were introduced recently.

The image shows a metal unibody design, curved glass screen on the front, dual rear cameras on the back with dual-tone LED flash and a fingerprint sensor below that.

There is a 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the speaker grill on the bottom. On the top there is a primary microphone and an IR blaster. There are antenna lines running on the top and the bottom parts of the phone’s back.

There is a SIM slot on the left side and the volume rockers along with the power button are present on the right side. The phone also has capacitive touch buttons below the screen. It also shows sleek design.

It is said to pack a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 625 and 4GB of RAM, but there are also rumors of a Snapdragon 660 version. A new Xiaomi smartphone with the model number MDG2 and a 3000mAh battery has passed through the FCC, which will likely be the Mi 5X.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X will come come in Black, Gold colors and Rose Gold colors and is said to cost 1999 yuan (US$ 295 / Rs. 19,000 approx.). Xiaomi will also introduced MIUI 9 at the event, which will bring redesigned Lock Screen shortcut, Split-Screen, new default themes, improved stability, smoothness, and better battery backup and more.

Xiaomi already confirmed that it will release the MIUI 9 for its devices before August 16 and is taking user registrations for beta testing . We should know all the details next Wednesday.
