At the third annual Lenovo Tech World innovation summit the company introduced concept devices enabled for AI. This includes CAVA contextual aware virtual assistant, daystAR headset, a standalone vision processing unit, SmartVest world’s first 12-lead medical-grade wireless smart ECG wear, Xiaole, a better customer service platform and SmartCast+, an intelligent, interactive speaker with projection, object recognition and AR interaction.
Lenovo Research officially launched its Artificial Intelligence Lab in March, which includes more than 100 researchers across the globe.
daystAR is an optical display that has free-formed surface lenses with a 40-degree field of view and comes with an independent vision processing unit. Using the Lenovo AR Platform developers can use daystAR to create applications like Cloud Object Recognition, Remote Assistance, Multiplayer Interaction, and 3D Content Manager across a variety of industries. It lets you can scan, upload, and edit 3D content through the platform.
- CAVA – Virtual assistant that uses deep learning-based face recognition systems and natural language understanding technologies to manage calendar events and remind you based on your habits.
- SmartVest – It is an 12-lead medical grade smart clothing garment that uses 10 textile sensors built into the ECG clothing to monitor cardiac activity and aims to you make managing your cardio health easier. It records ECG signals in real-time 24-hours a day and identifies abnormalities, such as tachycardia or atrial fibrillation, and send an alert when your cardiac activity becomes unsafe.
- Xiaole – It is a customer service platform that constantly learns from conversations with customers and adjusts accordingly to provide a personalized and customized user experience 24 hours a day. It helps solve technical issues customers may experience with a device.
- SmartCast+ – It is an intelligent, interactive speaker that recognizes sounds, objects and delivers AR experiences. It lets children learn Chinese, project their illustrations and Chinese subtitles while listening to the lesson, making learning fun and immersive
As usual Lenovo did not say when these concept devices will be transformed into a consumer product.
