Samsung unveiled its W2017 premium flip phone with dual displays last year. Now details about the upcoming W2018 (SM-W2018) flip phone has surfaced. The W2017 was powered by Snapdragon 820, had 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, the W2018 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 835, come with 6GB RAM and the internal storage is said to be 64GB, same as the predecessor.
It is expected to come with similar dual displays on the front and inside so that you can use the phone even when it’s closed and let you flip open to use the other screen with a keyboard. It is expected to come with Android Nougat, fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensor and improved cameras. Samsung SM-G9298 surfaced on TENAA certification site back in May with almost similar specifications as the W2017.
The Samsung W2018 is said to cost over $2,000, similar to the predecessor targeting premium smartphone market segment. The phone is expected to go official later this year.
