BlackBerry today launched the KEYone smartphone with physical QWERTY keyboard in India for Rs. 39,990. We have already seen unboxing of the smartphone and now let’s take detailed look at the hardware and software of the phone in this photo gallery.
The KEYone sports a 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with 3:2 aspect ratio. It has an aluminium body with great build that gives it a premium look. The phone is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor coupled with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with security and productivity suite from BlackBerry.
It has 8MP front camera above the display along with earpiece, microphone and usual set of sensors. The phone has curved edges.
It has a 4-row QWERTY physical backlit keyboard with keys that respond to touch gestures, support for flick typing, up to 52 customizable shortcuts and the fingerprint sensor is built into the spacebar.
The right side houses volume rockers, a convenience key and SIM card tray.
The power button is present on the left.
The bottom of the phone houses USB Type C with loudspeaker grill on either sides.
A 3.5mm audio headphone jack and a microphone are present on the top. The phone measures 149.3 x 72.5 x 9.4mm and weighs 180 grams.
There is a nice rubber soft textured grip at the back of the phone that sports the trademark BlackBerry logo. Also present is a 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Sony IMX378 sensor, 1.55μm pixel size, 1/2.3″ sensor size, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 4K video recording.
There is a 3505mAh battery on the phone that comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS and NFC.
The BlackBerry KEYone comes in Limited Edition Black color in India, is priced at Rs. 39,990 and will be available exclusively from Amazon.in starting from August 8th.
