Weekly Roundup: Lenovo K8 Note, LG Q6, SHARP AQUOS S2, Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and more

This week Lenovo launched the most expected K8 Note, LG launched the Q6 with  FullVision display,  SHARP introduced the AQUOS S2 with bezel-less display, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S8 Active,  Gionee launched A1 Lite selfie-focused smartphone and more from this week in our roundup.

Lenovo this week launched K8 Note with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X23 SoC, stock Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera to capture depth information for bokeh effect, fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos, dedicated dual SIM slots with a microSD card slot and a 4000mAh battery with support for Turbo Charging.

It comes in Fine Gold and Venom Black colors, is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in starting August 18th 12 noon.

LG launched the Q6 smartphone with 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 Mobile Platform, Android 7.1.1 (Nougat),  facial recognition, military grade durability with MIL-STD 810G certification and a 3,000mAh built-in battery.

It comes in Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Terra Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 14,990 and is available exclusively from Amazon.in.

Samsung finally announced the Galaxy S8 Active rugged smartphone that is shock-, shatter-, water-, and dust-resistant. It has a metal frame and bumper to protect against shock, abrasion, tilting or twisting and will be exclusively available from AT&T for a limited time. It has Bixby assistant, similar to the S8 series of phones, packs a shatter-resistant 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, 4,000mAh battery and has fingerprint and iris scanners.

It comes in Meteor Gray and Titanium Gold colors and is available from August 11 exclusively from AT&T for $28.34 for 30 months.

Gionee launched the A1 Lite with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash. It has a 5.3-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Amigo 4.0 UI and a 13-megapixel rear camera. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back.  It comes in Gold and Black colors and is priced at Rs. 14,999.

Panasonic launched Eluga A3 and A3 Pro smartphones with a 5.2-inch HD screen, Android 7.0 (Nougat), 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, fingerprint sensor on the front and a 4000mAh battery. A3 comes with quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC, while the A3 Pro is powered by Mediatek MT6753 SoC. These phones also come with ARBO virtual assistant.

The Panasonic Eluga A3 and A3 Pro come in Mocha Gold, Gold and Grey colors, are priced at Rs. 11,290 and Rs. 12,790 respectively.

After launched Rose Gold F3 in India, after it introduced Limited Edition Red color variant in Vietnam. It is available exclusively from Flipkart for Rs. 19,990. 

Swipe launched Elite VR with 5.5-inch HD screen, quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, but it still runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It comes in Black, White, Gold and Red colors, is priced at Rs. 4499 and is available exclusively from ShopClues.

Samsung launched several audio devices including Bluetooth speakers – Level Box Slim, Bottle speaker and Scoop speaker, Bluetooth headset – Level Active and in-ear headphones in India priced between Rs. 1,899 and Rs. 6,699.

Samsung introduced U Flex Headphones (EO-BG950) with flexible neckband design that is bendable by up to 100 degrees so it will not lose its shape or break, even when carried in a small bag or pocket. It also has P2i splash and sweat-resistant coating.  It comes in Black, Blue and Ivory colors, is priced at 79.90 Euros (US$ 94 / 6015 approx.) and is already available in some European countries.

Motorola introduced Stream in-ear Bluetooth earbuds that is also water-resistant with IP54 ratings to protect it from sweat when working out. It has a 6mm driver that promises clear audio and has a microphone for calls. It also supports voice commands and supports Siri and Google Assistant. It comes with a three sets of ear gels (large, medium and small) to fit your ears. It comes in Black color, is priced at 79.99 GBP (US$ 104 / Rs. 6630 approx.) and is available in the UK.
