HTC earlier this week started rolling out a new update (v1.26.709.3) for its flagship U11 smartphone in Taiwan that brings support for 1080p 60fps video recording as it had promised a few days back. The company already said that it will roll out the feature widely in coming months. The update also brought July 2017 Android security update along with other system enhancements.
The changelog also mentions support for Bluetooth 5.0 with the update. HTC says that the HTC U11’s hardware powered by Snapdragon 835 and WCN3990 chip has been ready to support Bluetooth 5.0 connections—with no additional firmware updates needed from the company, and the Android O will let you enjoy the full benefits Bluetooth 5.0.
The HTC U11 v1.26.709.3 update is 624.59MB and is currently rolling out only for the Taiwan units. The update will gradually roll out to other countries soon.
