Coolpad just launched the Cool Play 6 smartphone at an event in Dubai. We got to check out the phone. Here is the hands-on and the photo gallery of the phone.
It has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 653 Mobile Platform with Adreno 510 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with Coolpad’s own Journey UI on top. It has also promised to update the phone to Android O 8.0 by December 2017.
It has an earpiece, 8-megapixel camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture along with the usual set of sensor on the top.
It has capacitive touch buttons below the display.
The volume rockers and the power button are present on the right side.
On the left side there is a dual SIM card slot. It has 64GB of internal storage, but it doesn’t have an expansion slot.
The 3.5mm audio jack is present on the top.
On the bottom there is a USB Type-C port and speaker grill.
On the back there is 13MP dual rear camera cameras with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and support for 4K video recording. There is a secondary microphone above the camera, below the camera there is a fingerprint sensor.
The phone has a unibody metal design and it packs a 4000mAh battery, but it doesn’t have support for fast charging. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-Type-C.
It is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon.in starting from September 4th.
