Google might be working on Bluetooth headphones that run Google Assistant

Back in April Google app v7.0 beta teardown revealed a new device type codenamed Bisto, which was removed later. Now the name has surfaced again in Google app v7.10 in a teardown that reveals that Bisto will be Bluetooth headphones that run Google Assistant.

Google app has some of the strings that also reveals that you can give commands through Assistant, you can route and audibly play your notifications and even reply to notifications verbally.

Your headphones have the Google Assistant. Ask it questions. Tell it to do things. It’s your own personal Google, always ready to help.

Allows spoken notifications on your headphones.  Turn on Notification access. Hear incoming notifications read aloud. Get tips on how to talk to your Assistant, get notifications, and reply to messages

It also shows that it will have hardware buttons, so it might not be small headphones to compete with Apple’s Airpods that doesn’t have any hardware buttons and use Siri for controlling playback and volume.

It will have hardware buttons for Google Assistant along with a top button as well as support for OTA firmware updates, according to the strings found in the APK. We still don’t know how it will look like, but it could be unveiled along with the Pixel 2 phones in October.
