Acer announced Chromebook 15 at the ongoing IFA 2017. We are live at the event and got our hands on the device.
The Chromebook 16 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display and is powered by dual-core Intel Celeron and quad-core Pentium processors. It features an aluminium top cover and palm rest. It is also thinner and lighter than previous generations.
The Chromebook 15 measures 378x256x18.9mm and weighs 1.72 kg. It has a USB 3.1 Type-C Port and HDMI port. It includes 32GB or 64GB flash storage, 4GB or 8GB RAM.
The top is made of brushed aluminium material and sports Acer and Chrome branding. It has a fanless design
Also present is a 3.5mm audio headphones jack, SD card reader and two USB 3.0 ports. The front-facing HD webcam offers an 88-degree field of view. Also present are two upward-facing speakers with high-definition audio. Acer claims the battery life at 12 hours.
The Acer Chromebook 15 is priced starting at $399 and will be available in the US in October.
