Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Hands On and Photo Gallery

Along with Sony Xperia XZ1, Sony also unveiled Xperia XZ1 Compact at the ongoing IFA 2017. We are live at the event and got our hands on the phone, so let’s take a detailed look at design and specifications of the phone.

The Xperia XZ1 Compact is a smaller version of the XZ1. It sports a 4.6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD TRILUMINOS Display with X-Reality, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has a design similar to the XZ1 with large bezels on the top and bottom. It is also powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and runs latest Android 8.0 Oreo.

There is an 8MP camera on the front with earpiece and Sony branding.

There are onscreen touch buttons and stereo speaker at the bottom. The phone measures 65 x 129 x 9.3mm and weighs 140g.

Right side houses the power button that is baked with a fingerprint sensor and volume rockers.

The left side has SIM and microSD card tray.  It comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD card.

Moving at the back, there is a 19MP rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive capture, 4K video recording and 960fps slow-motion video.

The Xperia branding is present at the center. It is water resistant (IP65/IP68).

Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C. It has 2700mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact comes in White Silver, Black, Horizon Blue and Twilight Pink colors and will roll out globally starting from September 2017.
