Sony at the ongoing IFA announced LF-S50G, its first wireless speaker with the Google Assistant built-in, similar to Google Home. It offers 360-degree sound, thanks to two-way facing speaker, two-stage diffuser, and bass reflex duct for a clear audio with deep bass to reach every corner of the room.
Google Assistant lets you Set a calendar event, alarm, check traffic and more, and the Gesture Control feature allows you to adjust the volume or skip to the next track without directly touching the speaker, and simply by waving hand nearby. It also has automated volume control that adapts to noise in the room.
It has an LED clock display that you can dim or turn it off to minimise light in your room. It has an IPX3-rated splashproof design so that you can even take the cover off and rinse it under the tap. In addition to Bluetooth (v4.2)that lets you listen to audio from a range of devices, it also has one-touch NFC pairing and has WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n.
The Sony LF-S50G comes in Black and Gray colors and will cost about $200 (Rs. 12,785 approx.) when it goes on sale in United States in October. It will also be available in Germany, France, the UK for €230 or £200.
