Earlier this week Xiaomi announced a launch event in New Delhi on September 5th to introduce a new flagship dual camera smartphone. Today the company said that the smartphone will be available in India exclusively on Flipkart. It also engaged in a twitter conversation today with celebrities Parineeti Chopra, Daboo Ratnani, Ayushman Khurana and Hardik Pandeya.

This could be the Mi 5X that was introduced in China recently. To remind you, the Mi 5X has 12MP dual rear cameras, one with a wide-angle lens and other with a telephoto lens offering portrait mode, background blur and more features. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Mobile platform, runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) and packs a 3080mAh battery.
It is a global launch event that will be streamed live on mi.com, which says that it is a new series so the Mi 5X could be launched in a different name, which is rumored to be A1. We will have to wait for few more days to find out all the details.
