CAT S31 Hands On and Photo Gallery

Cat phones, popular for its rugged phones announced the CAT 31 at the IFA 2017. We are live at the event and got our hands on the successor of the CAT S30.

The CAT S31 sports a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display. It comes with auto wet finger and glove support. The phone is rugged with IP68 ratings for waterproof, dust resistant design and are drop proof to 1.8m onto concrete with MIL-STD 810G spec.

It is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 212 processor with Adreno 304 GPU. Running Android 7.1.1, it has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD. The handset is chunky and has rubberized plastic formed ridges along the sides.

It has a 2MP front facing camera, CAT branding, sensors and earpiece at the front.

It has three physical buttons at the bottom. The phone has an octagonal shape.

The left side has the screen lock button and the programmable Push To Talk button.

Right side houses volume rockers, SIM card and SD card slot that is wrapped with the rubberised material for protection. The phone measures 146 x 74.42 x12.6mm and weighs 200 grams.

There is a microUSB port at the bottom and is covered with a hatch.

The 3.5mm audio headphone jack is present on the top.

There is an 8MP camera with LED flash at the back.

A back panel has thick lines to help with grip. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It packs a 4000mAh battery.
