Microsoft Surface Laptop Hands On and Photo Gallery

Microsoft introduced Surface Laptop running Windows 10 S earlier in May this year. We are live at the IFA 2017 and got a chance to check out the laptop.

It has a 13.5-inch PixelSense edge-to-edge display with immersive touchscreen and ultra-thin bezel. The laptop is powered by 7th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with Intel HD 620 (i5). It comes with 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB RAM, 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB SSD. The device runs on Windows 10 S. There is a 720p HD front-facing camera.

The keyboard is covered with Alcantara fabric that feels warm unlike the hard edges that are usually present on most of the laptops.

It has a responsive keyset, large trackpad and soft palm rest offering typing comfort and has anodized metal on the outside. There are Dolby Pro-quality speakers that hide behind the display.

Left side houses USB 3.0, Mini display port and 3.5mm audio headphone jack. It is a bummer that there is no SD card slot and USB-C output. The laptop is pretty sleek as it measures 308.1 x 223.27 x 14.48 mm and weighs 1.25kg.

The right side has a Surface connector for charging.

The top of the laptop has smooth metallic finish that gives it a premium look. A Microsoft logo is present at the center.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop comes in Platinum, Graphite Gold, Cobalt Blue and Burgundy colors, but all the four color options are only available in i5-7200U 8GB/256GB model, while other versions comes in Platinum. It starts at $999 (Rs. 64090 approx.) for the base Core i5 model with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD.
