Amazon Fire TV 2017 models tipped to come with 4K HDR video support

Amazon is reportedly working on two new Fire TV models that will come with 4K HDR video support at 60fps, according to a report from AFTV News. The site has also shared images of both the Fire TV models

The new version of the Fire TV that looks like a small cube, will have many of the same features of Amazon’s Echo smart speaker built right in. It will feature audio controls, activity light, far-field microphones and speaker. You can speak with Alexa and give commands. Similar to other Fire TVs, the 2017 device will let you stream videos from Amazon and Netflix. The second Fire TV model will be a mid ranger and looks like a Chromecast ultra that sports a dongle design. It will also support 4K HDR video support.

The site says that the mid-range Fire TV will be announced sometime this month and release in October. It might be priced between $60-$80. Meanwhile, the high-end Fire TV model is said to be scheduled to launch sometime this year, but “might be delayed into early next year.”
