Apple Watch Series 3 available in India from September 29; price starts at Rs. 29900

Apple introduced Apple Watch Series 3 in two versions, including one with built-in cellular connectivity few hours back. At the event it announced that the Apple Watch Series 3 will start at $329 (Rs. 21,040 approx.) and the Watch Series 3 with GPS + Cellular Connectivity will start at $399 (Rs. 25,520). It has also announced that the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) will be available in India along with several countries from September 29 starting at Rs. 29,900.

The Apple Watch Series 3 has an upgraded dual-core processor offering 70% faster performance, new W2 wireless chip offering 85% faster WiFi performance, 50% efficient Bluetooth connectivity, Water resistant body,  and up to 18 hours of battery life.

The Apple Watch Nike+ has also received an upgrade with the same internals of the Apple Watch Series 3 and a new pure platinum/black Nike Sport Band or Sport Loop in exclusive colors. It will be available at the same starting price of Rs. 29,990 in India from October 5.

The Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) that uses eSIM will roll out in some countries from September 22, but India is not in the list. Apple says that it will roll out in more countries next year. Hope Indian operators will bring eSIM by next year.

Apple has removed the Series 2, but the Apple Watch Series 1 has received a price cut to Rs. 21,900 from Rs. 22,900. It was launched for Rs. 23,900.
