Apple unveiled the iPhone X yesterday that comes with a new feature dubbed as Animoji, which are basically animated emojis. The feature uses Face ID of the iPhone X to create custom 3D versions based on your own facial expressions.
The TrueDepth camera on the iPhone X along with the A11 Bionic chip captures and analyzes over 50 different facial muscle movements, then animates those expressions in a dozen different Animoji, including a panda, unicorn and robot.
Animoji is available as an iMessage app pre-installed on iPhone X. Users will be able to record and send Animoji messages with their voice that can smile, frown and more. You can edit emoji in fullscreen, and they’re all animated in real-time before you send them as a message. Recipients will receive them as looping videos with audio.
