Apple introduced new iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X with support for wireless charging for the first time and Apple has adopted popular Qi standard. Belkin and mophie have introduced new wireless charging pads for these phones. Apple also unveiled its own AirPower mat to charge several devices at the same time.
The 7.5W Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Pad can charge through most lightweight cases, includes AC adapter and is capable of faster charging output than standard 5W Qi chargers. It also shows a solid green LED light shows when the phone is correctly aligned on the pad and charging. It costs $59.95 (Rs. 3835 approx.) and will be available from September 15th.
The mophie wireless charging base also offers high-speed wireless charging up to 7.5W for compatible devices, has a rubberized finish to prevent scratches and comes with wall adapter. It also costs $59.95 (Rs. 3835 approx.) and will be available from September 20th.
The ultra-thin Apple AirPower mat lets you charge multiple devices wirelessly, without requiring them to be fixed in one spot. You can just lay up to three compatible devices like the latest iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods anywhere on its surface to charge them simultaneously. It will be available in 2018, but Apple did not reveal how much it would cost.
