Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017), A5 (2017) start receiving Android Nougat update in India

Samsung has started rolling out Android Nougat update to Galaxy A7 (2017) and A5 (2017)in India. The update weighs around 1.4GB and brings several Nougat features to both the devices.

The firmware version for the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) are A520FXXUBQI5 and A720FXXU2BQI2 respectively. The update comes with improved notifications and Quick Settings features, multi-window, Dual Messenger, Samsung Pass, and improvements to AOD and app installation times. Also included are the usual bug fixes and stability improvements.

Samsung had launched both these devices in India in March. The OTA is rolling out gradually and will take time to hit your device. They come with IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance, allowing it to withstand rain, sweat, sand and dust. The phones sport a metal frame and 3D glass back which offers them a premium look.
