Just yesterday, Google officially announced that it has signed an agreement with HTC to acquire team of HTC talent for US$1.1 billion in cash. Now, a latest report suggests that HTC is working on a new flagship smartphone that will be launched later this year.
Dubbed as HTC U11 Plus, the phone is codenamed as Ocean Master and will sport a bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio display, the same one that is present on the LG G6 and the V30. 2017 has been the year of bezel-less flagships. The HTC U11 Plus is said to sport a 5.99-inch quad HD 1440p display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The phone is said to sport 12-megapixel primary rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
It will reportedly boast an IP68 certification, which will make it water and dust resistance and it can be submerged up to 1.5 meters in water for 30 minutes. The Edge Sense feature with squeezable frame which we saw on the U 11 is said to make a comeback with U11 Plus. Finally, it will support Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0.
The HTC U11 Plus will be unveiled on November 11 in China.
